Meta Platforms will end political, electoral, social issue advertising on its platform in the European Union in early October because of the legal uncertainties due to EU rules targeting political advertising, the US social media company said.
He acknowledged that while 15,000 roles, including 9,000 in early July, have been cut this year, the company’s overall headcount remains largely unchanged.
