‘Cash-For-Job’ Scam Rocks Tamil Nadu, DMK Calls Allegations ‘Baseless’

In a dossier submitted to the Tamil Nadu police, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) claimed that the selection of officers and staff for 2,538 posts in the state’s Municipal Administration and Water Supply (MAWS) department was done in exchange for cash. The ED alleged that powerful politicians collected bribes ranging from Rs 25 lakh to Rs 35 lakh per post.
