A dental student in Bengaluru, has died by suicide, triggering serious allegations of harassment against her college authorities. Following a complaint by her mother, police have registered an FIR against five faculty members, including the college principal, at the Suryanagar Police Station. The complaint alleges that the student was repeatedly harassed over her skin colour and choice of clothing, pushing her into severe distress. An investigation is currently underway.
