India-US Tariff Deal | “Ignore the Noise, This Is a Win-Win”: USISPF’s Mukesh Aghi

Calling it far more than a trade adjustment, Mukesh Aghi, President and CEO of the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF), says the India-US tariff deal marks a strategic reset in bilateral ties. In an exclusive conversation with NDTV’s Senior Executive Editor Aditya Raj Kaul, Aghi says the reduction of US tariffs on Indian goods from 50% to 18% gives India a clear edge over Asian competitors like China, Vietnam, and Bangladesh, and strengthens America’s China-plus-one supply chain strategy. He describes the agreement as a win-win for both countries, with implications that go well beyond trade into geopolitics, technology, and long-term partnership.
