Pakistan Cricket Board Meets ICC In Lahore As T20 World Cup Boycott Standoff Deepens

Pakistan’s cricket standoff with India is escalating into a serious administrative and financial crisis. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) held crucial talks with the International Cricket Council (ICC) in Lahore after threatening to boycott matches against India in solidarity with Bangladesh. NDTV has learned that ICC officials warned the PCB of severe consequences, including heavy fines and contractual penalties, if Pakistan pulls out of scheduled World Cup fixtures. The meeting, attended by PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi and senior ICC representatives, made it clear that international cricket agreements cannot be broken without repercussions.
