Bengaluru Metro Fare Hike Paused, Political Row Escalates

The proposed 5% Bengaluru Metro fare hike has been put on hold, but the political tussle over the issue has intensified. The BJP has accused the Congress-led state government of pushing for the fare revision, while Bengaluru BJP MP Tejasvi Surya was detained while attempting to protest against the hike. Hitting back, the Congress questioned the BJP’s stand, accusing it of shifting positions and attempting to evade responsibility after public backlash.
