Celebrating Kiran Nadar – NDTV Masterstroke Art Patron of the Year.

Kiran Nadar believes art should belong to everyone, not just a privileged few. Guided by that vision, she built India’s first private museum of modern and contemporary art from scratch, turning personal passion into a national institution. Today, the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art houses over 6,000 works, tracing the journey of Indian and South Asian creativity from Raja Ravi Varma to bold contemporary voices. Her influence has reached far beyond India, shaping global platforms like the award-winning Indian Pavilion at the 2019 Venice Biennale. Closer home, thousands of schoolchildren walk through her museum doors each week, discovering the power of art. Honoured with the Padma Shri in 2024, Kiran Nadar is more than a patron, she is a builder of possibilities, bringing art closer to people across generations. Celebrating her as NDTV Masterstroke Art Patron of the Year 2026.
