Political temperatures are soaring in Tamil Nadu ahead of the upcoming elections, with Chief Minister M K Stalin launching a strong offensive against the opposition. Stalin targeted Edappadi K. Palaniswami, saying there is “no buyer” for attempts to defame the DMK, and accused the AIADMK of functioning as a “branch” of the BJP. He asserted that the Dravidian model of governance would not bow down and vowed to stop the BJP’s entry into Tamil Nadu.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin took a swipe at Vijay, chief of TVK, questioning him over a rally-related death. The heated rhetoric signals an intense poll battle ahead.
