Allies Attack, Leaders Rebel: Congress Faces Multi-State Crisis

As elections approach in multiple states, the Congress finds itself battling turmoil on several fronts. From Kerala to Tamil Nadu, West Bengal to Assam, internal dissent and ally friction are intensifying. While TMC has publicly demanded that Mamata Banerjee be made the leader of the Opposition bloc, Congress is simultaneously grappling with internal rifts – including a fresh controversy after Mani Shankar Aiyar’s remark on Kerala politics. In Tamil Nadu, the state unit chief has hit out at senior leaders for publicly discussing seat-sharing, adding to the escalating crisis.
