Bihar News | Notorious Naxal Leader Surrenders In Munger, Officials Declare Bihar ‘Naxal Free’

A senior Naxalite leader carrying a bounty of Rs 3 lakhs surrendered in Bihar’s Munger district, following which officials declared the state “Naxal-free.” Authorities recovered an AK-47, an AK-56, two INSAS rifles and 505 rounds of ammunition. DIG Rakesh Kumar said the surrender was carried out with coordination between Munger Police and the Special Task Force. The surrendered leader, Suresh Koda, will be provided benefits under the Government of India’s Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy. After laying down arms, Koda apologised and said he would return to a normal life. His family welcomed his decision to rejoin the mainstream.
