Founded in 2022 near Kolkata, the 14-member Panjeri Artists Union works at the intersection of art, memory and political resistance. Responding to histories of partition, displacement and fractured identities, the collective uses performance, video, archival interventions and community dialogue to challenge dominant narratives. Their landmark participation at the 2025 Kochi-Muziris Biennale brought these lived histories to a national platform. For transforming memory into powerful cultural intervention, they receive the NDTV Masterstroke Art for Impact – Social Change Award.
