The Karnataka government is considering imposing restrictions on mobile phone usage for students under 16 amid rising concerns over social media addiction. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has raised alarms about the growing obsession with social media and its possible impact on students’ education, behaviour, mental health, and exposure to harmful influences.
