Protests Erupt At Lucknow University As Fencing Blocks Access To Namaz Site

Student groups at Lucknow University launched protests after the administration fenced off Lal Baradari, a Mughal-era structure on campus. While officials said the fencing was a safety measure due to the building’s dilapidated condition, protesting students alleged it restricted access for Muslim students who pray there during Ramzan. The demonstrations, led by NSUI and Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha, escalated amid heavy police presence, with counter protests from ABVP opposing prayers at the site.
