Israel Minister Highlights Strong India-Israel Ties, Eyes Fast-Track Free Trade Agreement

In an interview during the PM Modi’s visit to Israel, the Israeli Economy and Industry Minister, Nir Barkat praised the deep people-to-people bond and strong rapport between the two governments, noting active negotiations on a fast-tracked Free Trade Agreement. He emphasized that Israel’s innovation and India’s scale create a powerful complementary partnership, with India serving as a gateway to Asia and a major opportunity for Israeli entrepreneurs.
