Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced that a new interim leadership council has begun work after the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The three-member council, including Pezeshkian, judiciary head Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejehei, and Ayatollah Ali Reza Arafi, aims to continue Khamenei’s legacy. The announcement comes amid escalating US-Israel strikes on Tehran and retaliatory missile attacks by Iran across the region.
