Large protests and mourning marches were held across parts of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh following reports of the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Significant gatherings were reported in Srinagar, Kargil, and Leh, where members of the Shia community organised protest marches, raised slogans, and expressed grief over the strikes on Iran. Demonstrators also assembled near the UN Military Observer Group office in Srinagar.
