Russia’s Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that European governments had only themselves to blame for their energy predicament. “As for Europe, what is happening today on the European markets, is, of course, above all the result of the mistaken policies of European governments in the energy sphere,” Putin said in an interview to a state TV reporter on Wednesday. He said that it may be “more advantageous” for Russia to stop supplying the European market and “move to the emerging markets,” adding that was “not a decision, but in this case what’s called ‘thinking out loud.'”
