West Michigan Tornado News | Suspected Tornado Hits Southwest Michigan, Debris Sent Flying

A suspected tornado tore through southwest Michigan on Friday, causing significant damage and leaving thousands without power. In the city of Three Rivers, about 30 miles south of Kalamazoo, strong winds and a funnel cloud were seen sending debris flying in all directions. Local reports said around 2,600 residents, mainly in southern Calhoun County, lost electricity as the storm moved through the region. The severe weather comes as parts of the United States enter the start of the spring tornado season, with experts urging residents to stay prepared and have safety plans in place.
