From Missiles To Memes: The Iran War’s Propaganda Front

As missiles and drones dominate the battlefield, the Iran–US–Israel conflict is also playing out online in a battle of narratives. Iran’s state-linked Revayat Fath Institute has released a Lego-style animated video depicting the war, featuring toy-like versions of Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu and scenes portraying strikes and retaliation. At the same time, the White House is facing criticism for posting a video montage that mixes footage from the video game Call of Duty with real images of US missile strikes on Iran. The clip, captioned “Courtesy of the red, white and blue,” has garnered millions of views online, triggering sharply divided reactions. The episode highlights how modern conflicts are increasingly fought not just on battlefields but also across social media and digital propaganda spaces, where competing narratives shape global perception of the war. NDTV reports.
