Mojtaba Khamenei Wounded In Strike That Killed His Father: Report

Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei was injured in the strike that killed his father, Ali Khamenei, on February 28, the Iranian ambassador to Cyprus told The Guardian on Wednesday. “He was also there and he was injured in that bombardment but I haven’t seen that reflected in the foreign news,” Ambassador Alireza Salarian said. “I have heard that he was injured in his legs and hand and arm… I think he is in the hospital because he is injured.” He explained why the cleric has not appeared before the supporters or shared a video address and said that Khamenei is not “comfortable [in any condition] to give a speech.”
