Thai Cargo Ship Set Ablaze in Strait Of Hormuz After Projectile Strike

Images released by the Royal Thai Navy show the Thai cargo ship Mayuree Naree engulfed in flames after being struck by a projectile in the strategic Strait of Hormuz near the coast of Oman. Authorities say 20 crew members were rescued by the Omani navy, while search operations continue for three crew members who were reportedly in the engine room when the explosion occurred. The incident highlights rising tensions and threats to commercial shipping in one of the world’s most critical energy routes.
