Assam To Vote In Single Phase On April 9, Counting Of Votes On May 4

The Election Commission of India on Sunday announced that the Assam Legislative Assembly polls will be held on April 9, with counting of votes scheduled for May 4. The announcement covers simultaneous elections in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, West Bengal and the Union Territory of Puducherry, whose assembly terms expire between May and June this year.
