Centre Cracks Down On Hoarding & Black Marketing – States Told To Act Fast

The Government of India steps up its crackdown on hoarding and black marketing amid rising complaints on social media. In back-to-back directives, states and union territories have been asked to activate district collectors, enforcement teams, and take strict legal action against violators.

Control rooms are now operational across 31 states/UTs, while district-level monitoring committees have been set up in 25 regions to keep a close watch. Authorities are also pushing for daily briefings, helplines, and public awareness to curb panic and misinformation.
