Hurricane Melissa | Hurricane Melissa Leaves A Trail Of Destruction In Jamaica, Cuba & Haiti The death toll in Haiti in wake of the devastation brought by Hurricane Melissa rose to 25 with 18 missing, authorities said on Wednesday. The vast majority of those killed or missing were in the southern coastal town of Petit-Goâve, where the storm destroyed 80 homes and damaged more than 160 others, officials said. Officials in Cuba reported collapsed houses, blocked mountain roads and roofs blown off buildings on Wednesday after Hurricane Melissa tore through the island, Haiti and Jamaica leaving dozens dead.
