PM Modi, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz Visit Sabarmati Ashram As Strategic Talks Begin

As India and Germany mark 25 years of their strategic partnership, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has arrived in India on a two-day official visit. He landed in Ahmedabad early this morning and began his visit with a stop at the Sabarmati Ashram in Gujarat, accompanied by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The visit to the ashram highlights the shared values of peace, sustainability, and democratic ideals inspired by Mahatma Gandhi. Chancellor Merz is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Modi later today, focusing on strengthening cooperation across key sectors.
