Himanta Defends ‘Miya-Muslim’ Remark, Slams Opposition Over Criticism

Speaking in Golaghat, Sarma hit out at the opposition for criticising his statement, even as his earlier remarks triggered a political storm in poll-bound Assam. The comments have intensified the debate around migration, identity, and rhetoric ahead of the elections.
