India US Trade Deal: Garment Exports To US Expected To Rise From $6 Billion To $8–10 Billion

The India-US Trade Deal is the “Father of All Trade Deals’ It is expected to push India’s Garment/Apparel Exports to US markets from existing US$ 6 Billion to US$ 8-10 Billion in next 3-4 years Our estimate is that because of India-US Trade Deal, India’s overall Garment/Apparel Export will increase from US$ 16-Billion to US$ 30-Billion in next 6 years. The Trade Deal has lifted the clouds which were hovering over India’s Garment/Apparel Exports Till now, the Tariff rate on Garments/Apparel segment was 61% to 68%. It will now reduce to 29% to 36%.
