Setback For Rahul Gandhi As Publisher Denies Memoir’s Release

In a setback for Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Penguin Random House India has clarified that it holds exclusive publishing rights to former Army chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane’s memoir Four Stars of Destiny and that the book has not yet been published. The clarification follows Rahul Gandhi’s attempt to quote from what he described as a “published” memoir during parliamentary debates on the 2020 Galwan Valley clash. The statement came hours after Delhi Police registered an FIR over the alleged circulation and online promotion of unauthorised copies of the book without mandatory clearance.
