The much-anticipated India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup 2026 match in Colombo on February 15 will go ahead as scheduled after Pakistan dropped its boycott call. The Pakistan Cricket Board reversed its decision following pressure from the ICC, possible sanctions, and appeals from Sri Lanka and UAE cricket boards. Pakistan’s government said the team will play to uphold the “spirit of the game.” While the ICC welcomed the resolution, Bangladesh emerged as the biggest loser in the standoff, gaining little from Pakistan’s brief show of solidarity.
