‘Why Allow Free Data Flow to US?’ Rahul Questions Centre In Parliament

In the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi criticised the India-US trade deal, alleging that the Modi government has compromised India’s most valuable 21st-century asset – data. He claimed the agreement surrenders control over digital trade rules, removes the requirement for data localisation, allows free flow of Indian data to the United States, limits digital taxation, and does not mandate disclosure of source codes.
