India is preparing for a major global AI moment as New Delhi hosts the India AI Impact Summit 2026 from February 16-20. Announced earlier by PM Modi during his visit to France, the summit will bring together French President Emmanuel Macron, global tech leaders including Sundar Pichai and Sam Altman, 50+ policymakers, 500+ startups, and over 500 sessions. Beyond innovation and algorithms, the gathering signals a geopolitical shift – highlighting debates on AI governance, data control, regulation, and India’s positioning within the global AI power balance between the US Europe, and China.
