National Award-winning costume designer Neeta Lulla spoke to NDTV on the 18th anniversary of Jodhaa Akbar and highlighted the massive role costumes played in the film. She shared insights into the work that went into realizing director Ashutosh Gowariker’s vision for the period drama. Lulla revealed that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan, the film’s leads, are sticklers for perfection. From having security personnel on set to safeguard the heavy jewellery to spending a full year prepping historically accurate costumes, she described the journey as both challenging and rewarding.
