The battle lines are sharpening between the Congress and the DMK over their alliance for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. Congress MP Manickam Tagore has hit out at the DMK, expressing regret that recent remarks by DMK ministers have caused “great pain” among Congress workers. He warned that Congress members must be given due respect within the alliance, or the party will offer a “suitable response.”
