Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge has accused the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of engaging in “money laundering” and questioned the organisation’s sources of income. Addressing a gathering in Bengaluru, Kharge asked why the RSS is not registered and whether it pays taxes, raising concerns about the origin of its ‘Guru Dakshina’ donations. He asserted that the same legal and constitutional framework applicable to all entities in the country should also apply to the RSS. The remarks have triggered a fresh political controversy.
