Women’s Entry to Sabarimala Temple Back In Spotlight As SC Hears Review

The Supreme Court of India is set to hear long-pending review petitions challenging its landmark 2018 judgment that allowed women of all age groups to enter the Sabarimala Temple in Kerala. The original verdict, delivered on September 28, 2018, by a five-judge Constitution bench headed by then Chief Justice Dipak Misra, had ruled that the ban on women’s entry amounted to gender discrimination.
