Congress-DMK Seat Sharing Tensions Surface Ahead of Tamil Nadu Polls

Political tensions are rising in poll-bound Tamil Nadu as cracks appear in the Congress–DMK alliance over seat-sharing arrangements. Congress MP Karti Chidambaram has publicly urged the DMK to “cut the cake and share it among allies,” signalling dissatisfaction within the alliance. He also remarked that the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) would remain a third front and could split votes in the upcoming elections.
