‘Investments Hit By Communal Tensions’: Karnataka Minister Sparks Big Row

A political storm has erupted in Karnataka after Congress minister Priyank Kharge said the state’s investment climate is suffering due to communal polarisation and hate speech, particularly in coastal districts. Kharge pointed to past flashpoints – including the hijab controversy – as examples of tensions that may deter companies. The BJP has hit back sharply. Karnataka BJP chief BY Vijayendra questioned Kharge over education standards and outmigration in his own constituency, accusing the Congress of deflecting blame.
