The India AI Impact Summit 2026 began on a high-energy note at Bharat Mandapam, drawing massive crowds and global participation. Narendra Modi inaugurated the India AI Impact Expo, while Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced the ‘Create in India’ Mission, underscoring the government’s push for AI-led innovation. Thousands of delegates, including heads of state, ministers, global tech leaders, researchers and startup founders, gathered under one roof, signalling India’s expanding influence in global AI discourse. The summit will continue until February 20, with key diplomatic meetings and an expected consensus declaration aimed at strengthening India’s position at the centre of the global AI conversation.
