Why Shah Rukh Khan Believes Being Called ‘King’ Is A Responsibility, Not A Title

For Shah Rukh Khan, the title “King” has never been about authority or dominance but about responsibility, a reminder of the faith millions place in him and the stories he chooses to tell. The superstar, often hailed as “King Khan” for his extraordinary three-decade reign in Hindi cinema, says the title carries emotional weight rather than power. “The word ‘king’ has never meant power to me. It has always been about responsibility, to the people who believe in you and the stories you choose to tell,” he said in an email interview to PTI.
