Emmanuel Macron To NDTV: India-France Partnership Is ‘Unique in the World’

Speaking to NDTV, Emmanuel Macron underlined the strength of the India–France partnership, calling it a “special global strategic partnership” that goes beyond a conventional strategic relationship. He highlighted expanding cooperation in defence, innovation, research, culture and creative industries.

On the proposed 114 Dassault Rafale jets deal, Macron confirmed India’s willingness to move forward and stressed that co-production under the “Make in India” framework would be central to the agreement. He also spoke about deeper collaboration in maintenance, submarines, aircraft engines and helicopters, including partnerships involving Airbus, signalling a major expansion of bilateral defence ties.
