AI Is A “Tsunami” Hitting Global Jobs: IMF Chief To NDTV At AI Impact Summit

IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva says AI is “like a tsunami,” set to impact 40% of jobs globally and up to 60% in advanced economies. At the India AI Impact Summit, she warned that entry-level roles are most vulnerable and urged urgent policy action. She also praised India’s digital reforms and projected AI could add up to 0.7% to India’s annual growth.
