“Heard A Loud Sound”: Eyewitness Describes Jharkhand Air Ambulance Tragedy

An eyewitness to the deadly air ambulance crash in Jharkhand’s Chatra district said residents first heard a “strange, loud sound” before learning that an aircraft had gone down near Simaria. Locals received calls from a nearby village reporting that the Delhi-bound plane from Ranchi was falling from the sky, possibly amid a thunderstorm. Medical teams rushed to the spot, but all seven on board were declared dead.
