At the recently concluded Makkala Hubba in Bengaluru, children, families, and communities came together to celebrate play in its purest form. At the heart of the festival was The Playbook of Play – a book with blank pages and a powerful message. Created by Rohini Nilekani along with the Bachpan Manao team and EkStep Foundation, the book challenges the idea that play needs rules or instructions.
Because children already know how to play. They only need time. Space. Freedom.
Through heartfelt reflections and joyful moments from the festival, this video reminds parents that raising children doesn’t require a manual – sometimes, the best thing we can do is simply let them lead the way through play.
