Iran “Ready For Talks But Cannot Trust The US”: Khamenei Representative Tells NDTV

In an exclusive interview with NDTV, Dr. Abdul Majid Hakeem Ilahi – senior Iranian diplomat and representative of Ayatollah Khamenei in India – says Iran has “always been ready for negotiations,” but accuses the U.S. of breaking trust by launching strikes during past dialogue efforts. He defends Iran’s regional actions as “self-defence” against U.S. military bases in Gulf nations and rejects claims linked to intelligence-driven strikes. Amid growing anger across West Asia, he insists Iran seeks “peace, not conflict,” but maintains that talks must happen “with dignity” and without dictation from world powers.
