Iran Claims United States Hit Desalination Plant; Water Supply to 30 Villages Disrupted

Iran has accused the United States of attacking a desalination plant on Qeshm Island, claiming the strike has disrupted water supply to around 30 villages.

According to Iranian officials, desalination plants are critical infrastructure in the region due to severe water shortages. Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has warned of “grave consequences,” calling the alleged strike a “blatant and desperate attempt” that could worsen humanitarian conditions.
