Trump Threatens ‘Incalculable Force’ If Iran Blocks Strait Of Hormuz

US President Donald Trump has issued a stern warning to Iran against disrupting global oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most critical energy chokepoints. Trump said the United States would respond with “incalculable force” if Tehran attempts to block the vital shipping lane. The warning comes as tensions in the region continue to rattle global markets and push oil prices higher. Trump also said the US Navy and its partners are prepared to escort oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz if needed to keep global energy supplies flowing. Meanwhile, Trump revealed he held a “positive” phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who he said could potentially help efforts to calm the escalating crisis in West Asia.
