Indian Navy on High Alert in Persian Gulf After Ship Attacks

After two dramatic incidents at sea — an India-bound vessel being struck and a US-owned merchant ship reportedly hit by an underwater drone — the Indian Navy has gone on heightened operational alert in the region. Indian warships already deployed in the Persian Gulf and surrounding waters are now on standby to respond to any emergency situation involving Indian ships and energy supplies.
