‘Declare Faith to Enter?’ Kedarnath Rule Triggers Political Storm

A major controversy has erupted over a reported new rule linked to the Kedarnath Temple visit, where non-Hindus are allegedly being asked to submit an affidavit declaring faith in Sanatan Dharma.

The issue gained traction after actor Sara Ali Khan’s visit sparked debate, with questions raised over religious identity and access to sacred sites. Actor Kangana Ranaut has now weighed in, defending the idea and stating that “Sara Ali Khan is also Sanatani,” while questioning what’s wrong with such an affidavit.

The development has triggered a larger national debate around faith, inclusivity, and religious practices at one of India’s most revered pilgrimage sites.
