Opposition Protests LPG Shortage, Targets Centre With ‘Empty Promises’ Jibe

Opposition parties under the INDIA bloc staged a protest in Parliament over alleged LPG shortages, accusing the Centre of misleading claims on fuel availability. Holding banners reading “Empty Cylinders, Empty Promises,” leaders from Congress, SP, DMK, Shiv Sena and Left parties questioned the government’s handling of the situation. While the Centre maintains there is no shortage and has called an all-party meeting to address concerns, the opposition insists ground realities differ and demands greater transparency on India’s energy security amid the West Asia crisis.
