Kerala Assembly Elections 2026 | KK Shailaja Calls Kannur Contest ‘Agni Pariksha’, Slams Congress

In a candid conversation with NDTV in Kannur, KK Shailaja described her electoral battle in Peravoor as an “Agni Pariksha,” saying the party entrusted her with a tough seat. She highlighted her deep personal connect with Peravoor, calling it her birthplace and recalling her victory there two decades ago. Shailaja dismissed claims of religious vote consolidation, asserting her campaign focuses on inclusive development for all communities. She also brushed aside rumours of weak party machinery, calling them baseless.
